Setting up a new upsell offer with cart upsell pro app is super easy. Once you have clicked on the Create a new offer button, you will land on the upsell campaign setup dashboard. In this tutorial, I will guide you through all the elements in the settings to help you understand app dashboard better.
The first section of the dashboard is consisting of offer name, discount setting and scheduling setting for the offer.
Select an offer name for your new offer. Offer name will not be displayed on store frontend. This name is for you to identify the campaign as an admin.
You can offer fixed, percentage and free shipping all three kinds of discount with your offer. There is no need to create discount code manually from shopify settings. Just set you discount settings and cart upsell pro will create coupon automatically for each campaign. Cart upsell pro dynamically creates discount codes for each campaign. We highly recommend not to edit/delete these auto generated discount codes from shopify discounts management panel. Once modified or deleted, the related cart upsell campaign will not work properly.
You can launch the campaign for a fixed period of time or continuously run the campaign. To set an evergreen campaign, leave the end date field blank.
Trigger product(s) settings
Select one or more trigger products for your campaign. You can also set minimum quantity of the product in cart to trigger your offer. When a customer adds the product/variant to their cart, bump offer will be displayed. For example, if you set minimum quantity 2 for trigger product, the discounted product will be displayed only when 2 units of the trigger product have been added to cart.
Offer product(s) settings
You can use one or more products for your cart upsell offer. You can also set minimum quantity of the product in cart to apply the discount. When a customer accepts the offer, the discount automatically gets added to their cart.
If your theme doesn’t have quantity selector in product page and you set minimum quantity more than 1 in upsell campaign then the offer will only work if the customer adjusts the cart in cart page. To avoid this, we recommend adding quantity selector from Shopify theme editor. Follow this tutorial.
Popup header message is your pitch text for your offer popup window. Make it compelling and clear to your shoppers. We recommend precise and short pitch for best results.
